DAMMAM — A 17-year-old child abductor has been sentenced to three months in jail. The Dammam District Court judge said the sentence covers public rights and the defendant has to appear before Al-Qatif District Court for a private rights hearing. The child's father objected to the judge's sentence and his giving permission to the abductor to get out of jail after serving his term. The teenager was convicted of kidnapping the victim, assaulting him and inserting a pipe into the victim's body, causing poisoning, a bladder rupture as well as a colon injury. The victim remains hospitalized.
