JEDDAH — Jamco beat the Old Students-XI by a huge margin of 156 runs, Ktaykit cricketers won against Munch Bakery by 7 wickets and Peeran Warriors won by 3 wickets against Peeran-XI in the 5th week matches of the Cricket Ke Badshah T20 Cricket Tournament in the JCA Division-II Afternoon League here recently.
This event is sponsored by the MoneyGram Money Transfer under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Jamco beat Old Students by 156 runs. Jamco batted first and amassed 246-4, powered by a splendid unbeaten innings of 182 by Faisal Shahzad. He faced 75 balls. His knock was studded with 11 sixes and 15 boundaries. Yousuf scored 14 with 2 fours. The second highest score was 28 extras. Dr. Abdul Rahman took 2 wickets giving away 16 runs. Faraz got one wicket for 36.
In reply, Old Students really looked old and were bowled out for 90. But for Naeem (27 off 21 balls - 4x4) and Amanullah (16 - 3x4) none of the batsmen reached double figures. Jamco too gave 28 extras. Mubashir took 4 for 20 and Sarwar 3 for 21.
Ktaykit beat Munch Bakery by 7 wickets. Munch Bakery tallied 156-4 through Tariq Jamal (39 - 6x4), Rana Shahzad (66 not out – 4x7, 6x1) and Faizan (19 n.o.). Farhan claimed 2 for 32. Nasir and Ejaz took one wicket apiece.
In reply Ktaykit made 159-3. Sarfaraz (53 n.o. - 23 balls, 4x8, 6x1), Nasim (25 - 4x4) and Shafiq (38 – 4x5, 6x2) were the main scorers. Rana Shahzad took 2 for 28 and Zain 1 for 28.
Peeran Warriors beat Peeran-X1 by 3 wickets. Peeran-X1 batted first and scored 176-8 through Tariq (88 - 49 balls, 4x11, 6x4), Abdul Gaffar (22). There were 33 extras. Qaisar claimed 2 for 23 and Shahroz 2 for 26.
In reply, Peeran warriors made 178-7. Yousuf hit 54 (4x6, 6x1), Qaisar 48 (4x5, 6x2) and Ilyas 35 (4x3, 6x1). Zaheer claimed 2 for 32 and Nazim 2 for 36.
