Khurram ton lifts Jamco

JEDDAH — Khurram hit an unbeaten century to lift Jamco over Munch Bakery, while Peeran-XI beat Universal and Young Stars downed Peeran Warriors in ACE Travel Cup here recently.
The tournament is sponsored by ACE Travel and Tours and is organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
In the first match of the afternoon league, Jamco beat Munch Bakery by seven wickets. Munch Bakery, batting first, put on 182 for the loss of five wickets. Zain Ul Salikeen scored 38 off 26 balls (6 fours), while Nabeel hit 27 (3x4) and Mubeen 39 (3x4 and a six). Mustafa added 38 (3x6 and 2x4). Khurram bagged 2-25, while Mubashir and Faisal claimed a wicket apiece for 21 runs each.
Jamco, in reply, reached the target for the loss of three wickets. Khurram remained unbeaten on 116 (8x6 and 10x4) in his match-winning performance. Faisal contributed 28 (5x4) and Kashif hit 24. Khurram even helped his team reach the target with a six. Umar claimed 1-21, while the two other batsmen were run out.
In the second match, Peeran-X1 beat Universal by eight wickets with three overs to spare. Universal put on 165-5. Umar scored 18 (3x4), Mushtaq 74 off 35 deliveries (14x4 and 2x6) and Owais 19. Zaheer Peeran and Hassan claimed 2 wickets for 26 and 18 runs, respectively. Usman claimed one wicket for 27 runs.
Peeran-X1 scored the required runs for the loss of two wickets. Fahad hit 71 (10x4 and 2x6) off 39 balls, Shakeel added 48 not out (6x4 and 1x6) as Peeran-X1 cruised home with three overs to spare. Owais and Tanveer shared the two wickets for 17 and 42 runs, respectively.
The third match saw Young Stars thrash Peeran Warriors by seven wickets. Peeran Warriors put on 171. Mohsin scored 30, Hussain 20, Ameer 30, Ahsan 15 and Umar 19. Arsalan, Shakeel and Imran claimed two wickets each. Young Stars, in reply, reached the target for the loss of three wickets. Arsalan scored 67 off 45 balls, Asif 55, while Jameel remained unbeaten on 21. Umar claimed two wickets for 34 runs.
