With reference to the article "Have our roads become killing fields?" by Tariq A. Al-Maeena (Feb. 12), I suggest that traffic safety education and how to respect people should be included in school curriculum so that the youth will learn at their young age how to respect their fellow human beings.

Install more cameras. Divert half of the amount of what is presently spent on post-accident care to cameras on every street and highway. Severe punishment for those who cover their number plate should also be enforced. And let every Friday sermon declare disobeying traffic rules as haram.
