Old Jeddah building caves in

A 50-year-old building under renovation in Jeddah's Bab Shareef district collapsed on Sunday, according to the Civil Defense Administration in Makkah region. No deaths or injuries were reported. Civil Defense spokesman in Makkah region Col. Saeed Sarhan said nine rescue teams and two search teams were pressed into service to clear the debris. A car was recovered from under the debris. – SG photo
