A Pakistani national died while two of his compatriots were injured when a roof that had been recently built fell off right on them at a car showroom in southern Jeddah. Col. Saeed Sarhan, Makkah Region Civil Defense spokesman, said the room had been constructed of iron and some parts in concrete as a residence for workers, but due to the load the roof gave in. Col. Sarhan said the Civil Defense Operation Room received information on the collapse of an iron hangar on top of workers in one of the car showrooms in Al-Jawhara District in southern Jeddah. He said Civil Defense teams with support machinery were quickly dispatched to the scene. It turned out that the roof of a room recently constructed with iron and concrete in the backyard of a car showroom had collapsed. The accident resulted in the death of a Pakistani worker, who was removed to King Abdulaziz Hospital. __
