TABUK – Results from DNA tests conducted on body parts retrieved from an artesian well confirmed that they belonged to Lama Ayidh Al-Rouqi, the Civil Defense said on Thursday. The 6-year-old Saudi girl fell into the abandoned well in the northern border region of Haql more than three weeks ago while picnicking in the area with her family A statement issued by the Civil Defense information center said DNA samples taken from the girl's parents matched that of the remains recovered from the well. The girl's mother had said the clothes, stockings and the doll retrieved from the well did not belong to her daughter. Spokesman for Tabuk Civil Defense Col. Mamdouh Al-Enezi dismissed reports circulating over the past few days belittling efforts to recover the girl's body. – SG/SPA
