Badee'ah Hassan Okaz/Saudi Gazette TABUK – The mother of 6-year-old Lama Al-Rawqi, who fell into an abandoned artesian well in the northern border region of Haql on Dec. 20, has said that the clothes, the stockings and the doll retrieved from the well do not belong to her daughter. She called on those who found the body parts to look for the person it belongs. Perhaps they will find another body. Khaled Al-Rawqi, Lama's uncle, quoted Lama's mother as saying that she cannot imagine or believe that her daughter has died. She still hopes to see her daughter alive. Al-Rawqi said Lama's mother cannot talk to any male or female reporter. Her psychological condition does not permit this. He quoted her as saying that she does not believe what is being circulated by the media and social networking websites and even the statements of the Civil Defense. “I won't believe that the body parts belong to my daughter unless they conduct a DNA test. Then I will bury her and accept condolences,” the mother was quoted as saying by Lama's uncle. Lama's mother is refusing till now to accept condolences. She says she has hope that Lama will return, as she might have wandered from the place. Lama's sister, Ashwaq, who was playing with her when she fell into the well, asks: “When will they find Lama? I saw her fall in the well, mother. I want Lama. I love her.” Lama's family is insisting that her body be pulled out so that she would get a proper burial. Efforts of the Civil Defense to extricate the full body have so far been unsuccessful. Lama fell into the 100-meter deep artesian well while picnicking with her family.
