JEDDAH — An expatriate worker has been sentenced to one year in prison and fined SR1,000 for forging a travel document and trying to leave the country. Jeddah Administrative Court handed down the sentence after it found the worker had stayed in the Kingdom for six years with a fake residency permit. The man told the court that his friend got him the fake travel document because he wanted to go home. King Abdulaziz International Airport's passport officers discovered the forged travel permit.
