JEDDAH: The Seventh Punitive Circuit at the Administrative Court here has approved a six-month prison sentence and a SR6,000 fine for a private who took money from three expatriates who violated the residency regulation and sought to leave the country. The verdict indicated that the private asked for money in return for stamping exit-only visas on passports belonging to three illegal expatriates who sought to leave via King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah. The private admitted that he stamped the passports and abused his authority as the person at the airport in charge of exit-only visas. The three expatriates also admitted that they benefited from the private's services. The sentence and fine were handed down according to Articles 5 and 6, which define the crime of bribery.
