DHAHRAN — A Saudi researcher has obtained four patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mamdooh Al-Harthy, associate professor of chemical engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, used nanotechnology in the manufacturing of polyolefin. Al-Harthy spent years in laboratories working on his idea, which will improve the physical and mechanical properties of the final product.
