TAIF — An Asian expatriate died allegedly after he was injected by a pharmacist. The Asian worker had come to the pharmacy complaining of cold symptoms and the pharmacist asked an assistant to prepare an injection. As soon as the victim was injected, he fainted and fell on the floor. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Taif Police spokesman Lt. Col. Turki Al-Shehri said the hospital notified police of the incident and the pharmacist and his assistant were detained pending investigations. Spokesman for Taif's Health Directorate, Seraj Al-Hemaidan, said they are awaiting the medical report and the case will be referred to the forensics committee. – SG
