RIYADH – Two brothers have been arrested after allegedly opening fire on members of the Commission of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia). The Haia members told Riyadh Police that the brothers resisted attempts to arrest them and started shooting when officers closed in on them. One of them was apprehended while the other managed to escape the scene. A team of secret agents was formed to track down the fugitive, who was arrested shortly after. 3.5m narcotic pills seized Border Guard officers in Tabuk seized an estimated 3.5 million narcotic pills, said spokesman Col. Abdullah Al-Ghareer. The guards got suspicious when they noticed that the driver of a vehicle was trying to get through the border quickly and appeared to be jittery, he said.
