JEDDAH — Traffic police at the Al-Sayel checkpoint on the Makkah-Taif Road foiled an attempt to smuggle 1,200 Captagon pills into Taif governorate. The smuggler was apprehended after a policeman grew suspicious of a car driven by a young man from Makkah heading to Taif. When he was stopped for questioning, he appeared to be nervous. On inspecting the car, the policeman found narcotic pills hidden in the interior. The 28-year-old man was arrested and the narcotics seized.
