Civil Defense warns against risking lives

JEDDAH – Director of the Civil Defense in Makkah Col. Sami Al-Jad'ani said anyone who takes the risk of crossing valleys during floods will be rescued and then taken to the governorate to face possible punishment. Col. Al-Jad'ani stressed the importance of being cautious when going out during rainy weather. He advised citizens and expatriates to stay away from flooded valleys for their safety. Meanwhile, spokesman for the Civil Defense in Makkah Maj. Saleh Al-Olayyani said rescue teams saved 14 people stranded in five vehicles during heavy rain in Bahra and Al-Hada.
