No injuries or deaths were reported. Beesh Valley was one of the hardest hit places. Residents of the valley said they had not seen such severe flooding in years. Damages to farms and property were reported in the valley, which has several neglected flood control projects. Maj. Gen. Hassan Al-Qafili, spokesman for Jazan Civil Defense, said rescue teams were dispatched to all affected valleys to warn dwellers against going to the bottom of the valleys. “Rescuers, paramedics and professional divers have been put on alert to respond to any emergency case. The warning comes in line with the directives of Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser, Emir of Jazan Region, who called for protecting citizens and residents from the floods," Maj. Gen. Al-Qafili added. Al-Baha Region and its governorates also saw heavy rain on Wednesday.
