Some of the stolen items recovered from the burglars. – Okaz photo RIYADH — Police have detained a gang of seven for allegedly committing 60 burglaries in Riyadh and Hail. Due to the increase in burglaries, top officers had directed the force's search and investigation department to conduct a detailed study on the crimes. The study revealed a certain pattern in all offenses and, aided with other information, police focused attention on a number of suspects who had previous convictions and arrested them. They confessed to 60 burglaries, 52 of which were in different areas of Riyadh and eight in Hail. Items and cash worth SR2 million were stolen from the properties. The suspects were referred to the prosecution authorities.
