JEDDAH — Jeddah police busted a gang of burglars comprising of 13 Yemenis who specialized in looting luxury villas in north Jeddah. According to information collected by the officers the burglars, between 17 and 27 years of age, broke into the villas by climbing the drainpipes and entering through the bedroom windows. After the team confronted a thief breaking into a villa in north Jeddah, he confessed to all thefts and led the team to the gang's hideout in the Al-Hindawyia district in south Jeddah. Lt. Nawaf Al-Bouq, Jeddah police spokesman, said the burglars admitted that they committed 13 thefts and distributed the stolen items, which included jewelry and cash, among the gang members.
