ABHA — At least 11 people were killed in road accidents in various parts of the Kingdom on Friday. Six people, including three women, were killed and two others injured on Friday when four cars collided at the northern entrance of Mahayil Asir. Police said one of the drivers panicked and lost control when he saw three cars coming from the opposite direction as he was trying to overtake another car in front of him. The cars were completely burned. Police are investigating allegations that the accident occurred when the drivers were racing. Meanwhile, four people were killed and two others injured when two cars collided on Al-Kharj Road in Riyadh. According to eyewitnesses, a car hit on the side of another car killing the passengers inside. Police attributed the accident to high speed. In another accident in Riyadh on Friday, a 22-year-old Pakistani was run over as he was trying to cross the road. According to police, a Saudi man in his 20s was driving at high speed and crashed into the victim. — SG
