Nadia Al-Fawaz Saudi Gazette ABHA — Border Guard security patrols have detained six smugglers with 64 kilograms of hashish, Asir Border Guard spokesman Col. Abdullah Al-Homrani said. The Border Guard patrols also intercepted a number of infiltrators who have fled back across the borders. They left behind 25 machine guns, 37 guns, 20 rounds of live ammunition and 99 kilograms of hashish. Meanwhile, customs officers at Hudaitha border checkpoint thwarted attempt to smuggle 51,293 narcotic pills into the country. Hudaitha Customs Director Zayed Al-Zayed pointed out that the pills were hidden inside oranges and lemons in two plastic boxes in a passenger's luggage. The suspect was referred to the concerned authorities for action, he said.
