Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — A Pakistani man arrested in connection with the murder of a compatriot had allegedly followed his victim to the Kingdom because he had gotten his daughter pregnant, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported. The victim had allegedly fled the village in Pakistan and came to the Kingdom to work as a driver at a taxi company. The father, who was seeking revenge, searched for the man and found out he was in the Kingdom. He also traveled to Riyadh and joined the same taxi company the victim was working for. The father located the man and said he tried to reason with him. However, the victim tried to attack him with a screwdriver, the father told police and he then killed him in self-defense. The suspect initially disposed of the body near King Khalid International Airport before calling Riyadh Police and telling them that he had been attacked by a number of people who tried to steal his money, said officers. He told investigators that he stabbed one of the attackers and injured him, so the rest fled, said police. A citizen later discovered the body and search and investigations teams found the victim wrapped in plastic. They initially could not find any identification but managed to identify him later. They searched for the victim's relatives and compatriots and centered their suspicions on the father, especially as he had contacted police before. They detained the suspect, who admitted to the killing during questioning. The suspect was referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution (BIP).
