Mishal Al-Otaibi Saudi Gazette RIYADH — Investigators from Riyadh police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy whose body was found dumped in a desert southeast of Riyadh. The victim had been reported missing by his family since March 3. The 20-year-old suspect is said to have confessed to the crime and told investigators that he killed the victim because they had an argument a few days before the murder. The boy's family got worried when he did not come home after school. His father reported him missing to the police after he saw his car parked outside the school. An investigation team was formed immediately and it started searching for clues in an attempt to solve the mystery surrounding his sudden disappearance. Officers started questioning all people who saw the boy on the day of his disappearance. Their initial investigations led them to the suspect, who denied any links to the boy's disappearance in the beginning. He told investigators that other people were responsible. Under further questioning, however, he admitted killing the boy. He said he picked up the boy on the day of his murder and took him to the desert after convincing him to ride in the car with him, according to police. There, he stabbed him several times in the neck, chest and back and buried him and then fled the scene. Officers found the boy's corpse in the desert and took it to the morgue while the suspect was referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution.
