Security man injured while catching drug trafficker

RIYADH – Seven Saudis and a Kuwaiti national were arrested for their involvement in drug trafficking. A huge cache of drugs, including more than one million capsules of amphetamines, was seized while trying to smuggle in a vehicle to Jeddah. Currency worth SR295,000 was also found from the vehicle.
A policeman was stabbed by one of the culprits while trying to overpowering him. The man also tried to shoot at the policeman. The security men followed the vehicle after receiving a tip off that the gang smuggled drugs into the Kingdom and managed to enter Jeddah region.
