Drugs smuggler arrested

A highway patrol arrested a man allegedly carrying more than 90,000 narcotics pills in addition to a weapon and more than SR200,000 when traveling with his wife between Madinah and Yanbu. Police stopped the man and his wife at a checkpoint and demanded identification. The driver panicked and drive off. Police fired a warning shot at him and flattened his tire. The smuggler then took a black bag and escaped on foot, leaving his wife behind. Police arrested him and seized the bag and money.
