Jamia Alumni fetes pilgrims

JEDDAH — The alumni association of Jamia Nizamia, “Old Boys Association of Jamia Nizamia (Bazme Tulba-E-Qadeem W Muhibban-E-Jamia Nizamia),” one of the leading and oldest Islamic universities in Hyderabad, organized their 21st function to “welcome pilgrims” recently at a local restaurant here.
The function was presided by the alumni president, Mohammed Naveed Afroz Naveed and Maulana Hafiz Syed Saghir Ahmed Naib Sheikh-ul Hadith of Jamia Nizamia Hyderabad, Maulana Hafiz and Qari Muhammad Abdul Shukoor, alumni of Jame-Nizamia, Imam khatib jam-e-masjid were the special guests of the evening.
Abdul Razzak (Alumni Jamia), Mauliwi Sabir Hussain Qadri, Hafiz Mohd Abdul Hakeem (Alumni Jamia), Hafiz Niyaz Mohd., Hafiz and Qari Mohd. Abdul Hameed, Hafiz Mohd. Abdul Qaliq (Alumni Jamia), Hafiz Syed Qasim Buqari, president Dar-ul-Uloom Gulbarga, Karnataka, were among the guests.
Hafiz Syed Qasim Buqari said “The extension of the Harams will bring great convenience for the future generations as the authorities have systematically gone about the expansion, and the amazing thing is that, even this year with work in progress, we performed our Haj very comfortably — without any difficulties. All pilgrims were stress-free during Haj.”
The association presented certificates of appreciation and shawls and stoles to all guests.
President of Haj committee Siraj Mohd. Khan welcomed the guests.
Maulana Hafiz and Qari Muhammad Abdul Shukoor Fazil Jame-nizamia addressed the gathering and said he felt delighted by attending that event, he praised the efforts of Alumni for conducting these events continuously since 21 years.
He quoted a Hadith on visiting of Prophet's mosque and shared his memorable moments.
Maulana Hafiz Syed Saghir Ahmed Naib Sheikh-ul Hadith of Jamia Nizamia, Hyderabad, addressed the gathering and praised the efforts of the alumni in appreciating the Hajis. He also explained some verses from Holy Qur'an and narrated some stories on the importance of love and respect of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Islam.
Khan and the Secretary of Haj committee Syed Khaja Viqaruddin presented shawls and stoles to the guests pilgrims.
Earlier, the program started with recitation of a few verses from the Holy Qur'an by Hafiz and Qari Mohd Abdulhakeem and followed by Naat from Hafiz and Qari Mohd. Salim Qadri, Hafiz Niyaz Mohd., Mohd. Sabir Hussain Qadri and Hafiz and Qari Syed Bilal Qadri.
The Alumni President Mohammed Naveed Afroz Naveed delivered the vote of thanks and Hafiz Nizam Uddin Gouri compered the program.
