Abdul Wahab, Salman Butt and Kamran Hadi shine in American Express T20 Cup

RIYADH — Centuries from Abdul Wahab and Salman Butt and solid all-round performance by Kamran Hadi were the highlights of the Round 3 of the American Express T20 Cup being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association here.
In the Al-Kharj Zone, Pak Shaheen beat CKK by 7 wickets. Batting first, CKK posted a fighting total of 185. Ibrar was the pick of the bowlers with 2-20. Abdul Wahab and Abdul Wahid also picked a wicket apiece. Pak Shaheen reached the target in 17.3 overs. It lost a few early wickets, but Abdul Wahab played a captain's knock of 116 to take his side home. Abdul Salam also played well for his unbeaten 39.
Shuraim beat Saudi Jaguars by 45 runs. Shuraim scored 224 with contributions coming from Javed (49), Waqas (45), Arif (38) and Zeeshan (32). Faisal took 3 wickets and Arsalan 2. Saudi Jaguars, in reply, scored 179. Moni scored 61 and Haider 52. Waseem grabbed 3 wickets.
Amir Holidays got the better of arch-rival Lahore Badshah by 23 runs. Amir Holidays put on 218-7 thanks to notable contributions from Kamran Hadi (43), Irfan (42), Sami (37) and Nadeem (28). Lahore Badshah fell short by 23 runs. Kamran Hadi bowled with great pace and rhythm and took 3 key wickets. Samiullah also chipped in with two wickets.
Punjab Lions beat Lahore Lions by 32 runs. Punjab Lions put on a huge score of 254 thanks to a smashing innings of 122 off 40 balls by Salman Butt. It included 14 huge sixes. Fayyaz also made a valuable contribution of 57. Lahore Lions, in reply, could score only 222.
In the Huraymala Zone, Fuchs beat KFSH Knight Riders by 52 runs. Batting first, Fuchs scored 190. Shahbaz added 63, Nazim 45 and Shakeel 33. Bilal and Talal took 1 wicket each. Knight Riders could manage only 138 in reply. Bilal top-scored with 51, while Ejaz added 38. Hafiz Asghar took 4 wickets, while Javed and Awais bagged 2 each.
Falcons got the better of Riyadh Fighters by 40 runs. Batting first, Falcons scored 223. Farrukh Saeed made 82 and Asif 78. Yasir grabbed two wickets. Riyadh Fighters managed 183 in reply. Imran added 42 and Yassir 39. Syed Sirajuddin took 4 wickets.
Riyadh Warriors beat Pak Eagles by 100 runs. Taking the strike first, Warriors scored 180. Top scorers were Abdulaziz (71) and Sameer (52). Akram took 2 wickets. Later Warriors restricted the Eagles to a meager 80. Mohsin scored 22. Shaik and Shakeel took 3 wickets each, while Javed claimed 2.
Lahore Cricket Club (LCC) beat Royal Academy of Cricket (RAC) by 9 wickets. RAC, batting first, scored 178. Saleem top-scored with 61 and Tauseef added 32. Niaz and Asif picked up 3 wickets each, while Jahangir claimed 2 for LCC. Lahore Cricket Club achieved the target in 17.1 overs. Nasir hammered 74 and Owais 67.
Green Bangla beat Pak Force by 4 wickets. Pak Force scored 166. Mashuq, Al-Amin and Shahjahan picked 2 wickets each. Green Bangla raced to the target in 16.2 overs. Kakon scored 65 and Mithu 51.
Star-XI defeated Al-Momen International School by 6 wickets. Al-Momen batted first and scored 157. Amjad and Bilal grabbed two wickets each for Star-XI. Star-XI achieved the target in 14.4 overs with notable contributions from Afaq (31), Imtiaz (28), Bilal (27) and Abbas (25).
