RIYADH — Round 2 of American Express T20 Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA), witnessed exciting matches here recently.
In Riyadh Zone, Riyadh Royals beat Pakistani Strikers by 6 wickets. Strikers batted first and tallied 191. Kamran made 53, Atiq 26 and Azam 21. Amjad took 3 wickets, while Kamran and Shahzad got 2 each. Royals achieved the target in 19.2 overs. Shehzad was in great touch and hammered 117. Azam got 2 wickets.
Nouman Gymkhana beat Punjab Stars by 32 runs. Nouman Gymkhana batted first and scored 208-5. Amjad and Izhar played well and scored 70 and 52, respectively. In reply, Punjab Stars managed 176. Imran, Anwar and Yassir claimed 1 wicket each.
TBCC beat Pak Fighters by 5 wickets. Pak Fighters scored 128-9.Abdul Salam and Aneesh grabbed 3 wickets each. TBCC achieved the target in 14.4 overs. Shareef scored 42 and Faisal 41. Delhi Dare Devils thrashed Majlis-e-Pakistan (MPCC) by 162 runs. Dare Devils batted first and posted 187. Nazim scored 69 and Rizwan 23. MPCC was bundled out for a paltry 25. Sultan wreaked havoc by taking 6 wickets. Kafeel and Moazzam also chipped in with two wickets each.
Imran-XI beat Friends-XI in a close contest by 1 wicket. Friends-XI batted first and put on 153. Ayaz hit 29 and Fakhar 24. Imran-XI achieved the target in the last over, thanks to good knocks from Hazrat Hussain (45) and Majid (29). Yassir got 3 wickets, while Ayaz and Etrut took 2 each.
Rawdah Heats beat Kashmir Gymkhana by 5 wickets. Kashmir Gymkhana batted first and scored 171. Mushtaq (40), Amir (35) and Tariq (34) were the main run scorers. Umar took 4 wickets for the Heats. Rawdah Heats achieved the target through Hassan (75), Abdulrahman (35) and Mushir (25). Shabir took 2 wickets.
Tigers beat Lahore Badshah Green by 5 wickets. Lahore Badshah Green batted first and scored 193. Awais scored 50, Jahangir 48 and Zeeshan 47. Riyadh took 4 wickets, while Chondon and Sharaf got 2 wickets each. Tigers achieved the target in 19.5 overs, thanks to a fine innings (78) by Sharaf. He was ably supported by Salish 40 and Chondon 26. Jahangir claimed 3 wickets.
Kingdom Warriors beat Kashmir-XI by 4 wickets. Kashmir-XI batted first and scored 129. Majed made 60. Adil and Irfan took 2 wickets each. Warriors won the match in 13.3 overs. Adil performed well with the bat too, scoring 35. In Qassim Zone, Pak-XI Unaizah beat Friends-XI Buraidah by 87 runs. Pak-XI scored 193-7. Waqar Azam scored 58, Abdulrahman 56 and Khawer 35. Ateeq took 2 and Saeed 1. Friends-XI made 106 in reply. Aafaque Masudi grabbed 6 wickets.
Sialkot Stallions beat Al-Fateh-XI. Al-Fateh-XI tallied 160 through Zahid (81) and Shahbaz (43). Kashif and Ansar took 2 wickets each. Sialkot Stallions achieved the target in 14 overs. Mubashir (45) and Ahmad (43) were main scorers. Tahir took 3 wickets.
Azad-XI beat Choudhary-XI. Batting first, Choudhary-XI managed a meager 88. Farzan contributed 22. Sajjad took 4 wickets. Azad-XI coasted home in 10 overs. Jumma Khan scored 35.
Shaheen-XI beat Paradise-XI. Batting first, Shaheen-XI posted 144. Amir (48) and Sami (29) were the top scorers. Umer took 2 wickets. Paradise XI was all out for 137. Umer top-scored with 24. Akmal took 3 wickets, while Mushtaq got 2.
