Saudi Gazette report NAJRAN — The trial of the father who allegedly slit the throats of his wife and children has been postponed because investigations with him have not yet concluded, according to Dr. Ayoub Naheet, Prison Directorate's spokesman, Al-Watan daily reported. Sources said that the father has been placed in solitary confinement at Najran General Prison under 24-hour watch, as the man reportedly tried to take his own life while in Sharoura Prison. He has remained quiet all the time. Meanwhile, hundreds of Sharoura residents have flocked to the homes of the victims' relatives to offer their condolences. The father's relatives called upon authorities to subject him to psychological and mental tests to double check if he is sound mentally. Al-Watan visited the school of one of the slain boys and noticed that the entire staff and students were in a state of shock and confused, refusing to believe that Abdullah was killed at the hands of his own father.
