Faisal Aboobacker Ponnani SEAGULLS Catch Food Restaurant Group ( Assaed Annawris ) opened its 7th branch at Jeddah corniche opposite the water treatment plant in Tahliya Street. Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, Consul General of India, officially inaugurated the three-storey restaurant in the presence of various eminent personalities. Dr. Hamad S. Al Battal, director of Seagulls Catch Food Group, said that it is a chain of seafood restaurant based in Jeddah. “Since the birth of this seafood restaurant, it has become a fish lovers' paradise and encouraged us to branch out to different parts of Jeddah City in a short span of time. More than 50 varieties of seafood and shell fish ranging from Arabic, Indian and Continental cuisine are being served to Jeddawis.” V.K. Abdul Aziz, Seagulls Catch Group vice president, said that they are planning to open more outlets in Jeddah soon. “Our aim is to franchise 100 outlets in various parts of Jeddah City as part of our expansion plan.” He also said that the restaurant has become the hub of seafood lovers and they are planning to open branches in Qatar & Bahrain in the near future.” Abdul Jaleel Kakkat, operations manager of Seagulls Catch Group, said they started the restaurant as a small business venture. “But now we have widened the horizon and have become a company. We hope to begin new outlets all around the Kingdom and wish to spread the taste of our unique varieties for all the fish lovers out there.” Seagulls Catch has other outlets in Ruwais, Hai Al-Ajwad, Hai Al Nuzha, Hai Al Hamra, Al Jamia Plaza and Roshan Mall across Jeddah. Al Abeer Medical Group director Alungal Mohammed, Gulf Madhyamam executive editor V.M. Ibrahim, Alpha Cargo General Manager K.P. Abdul Salam, Al Noor Medical Group director Abdul Salam Mambad, and OICC president K.T.A Muneer were among those who attended the inaugural function. The event was followed by an iftar party.
