Badea Abu Al-Naja Saudi Gazette MAKKAH – A fire broke out in a 250 square meter shoe shop on the ground floor of a building in Makkah's Aziziah district. Four various Civil Defense teams under the command of Director of Civil Defense in Makkah Brig. Gen. Khalaf Al-Matrafi and Assistant Director of Civil Defense in Makkah for Operational Affairs Brig. Gen. Maksab Al-Omairi toiled hard to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to the remaining parts of the building and neighboring shops. Civil Defense spokesman in Makkah Maj. Saleh Abdullah Al-Olayyani said there were no injuries. Investigations are under way to determine the cause of the fire and financial losses. Meanwhile, the Civil Defense in Makkah on Saturday dealt with 23 incidents. Of these, 16 were fires and seven were rescue missions. No one was injured in these incidents.
