Badea Abu Al-Naja Saudi Gazette MAKKAH – The Civil Defense in Makkah has started using a special vehicle mounted with cameras that can telecast live from accident scenes, according to Brig. Gen. Khalaf Al-Matrafi, director of Makkah Civil Defense. The vehicle will have a broadcast system with three mounted cameras and will record scenes from accident sites for future reference. “The system can retrieve files of previous accidents fast. It can also quickly transmit clear pictures of accident scenes to emergency units,” Brig. Gen. Al-Matrafi said. Once the emergency unit receives a report about an accident, the vehicle will be dispatched to the scene, he said. The system is operated by qualified personnel trained to use the program and cameras to document accidents professionally, he added.
