MADINAH – A gang of thieves has been nabbed by Madinah police after it robbed several bank customers. The city's police stations received calls from victims who had been robbed outside a bank. One expatriate was robbed of SR200,000. Police dispatched secret agents to the banks where the robberies took place. Investigations showed that the members of the gang used fake residency permits to rent cars and use them in their thefts. Officers became suspicious of an African man near one of the banks and kept a close eye on him. They raided his house and arrested him with three of his accomplices from the same nationality. He told police about the other members who helped in the thefts. Police are interrogating the men to find out how many robberies they committed.
