MAKKAH — Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana-Makkah, one of the key Rotana franchises and the leading hotel management company in the Middle East and Africa, has announced the recruitment of 25 young graduates from the Technical College in Makkah. The college is an affiliate of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training. The jobs were offered as part of the "Duroob” program which aims to increase the rate of Saudization in the hotel industry. Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana, which overlooks the Grand Mosque and has direct access to King Abdulaziz Gate, is one of the first hotels operated by Rotana in the Kingdom. The management strives to contribute to the empowerment of Saudi citizens and give them a chance to fulfill their role in the development of the national economy in general and hospitality sector in particular. Mostafa Tantawi, General Manager of Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana, said: “Fresh Saudis employed by us are currently occupying various positions at the hotel including human resources, accounting, reception, kitchen, restaurant, engineering and electrical sections. “These graduates will use their knowledge to provide the highest standards of service and to contribute to the development and upgrading of the services offered by Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana.” The "Duroob" program, he said, has been developed by Rotana for all its hotels across the Gulf countries. “The Kingdom is overflowing with talent and we are proud to offer Saudi citizens opportunities to prosper and grow, which confirms Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana's commitment toward Saudization and the great attention we offer our team to ensure they contribute significantly to enhancing the hotel's reputation." In addition to being a fast track development program that will drive the local talent to grow faster within the hospitality industry, the “Duroob” program addresses unemployment among citizens by bridging the gap between local and foreign workers in the labor market. This program is instrumental in helping young Saudis secure jobs by providing them with the necessary training and work experience to understand the working environment so as to motivate them to pursue a career in the hotel industry.
