TAIF – Civil Defense rescuers saved a man in his 80s from drowning after he fell into an 18-meter-deep well. The old man was trying to fix the well's pump when he slipped and fell in, according to spokesman Col. Nasser Al-Shareef. A witness immediately reported the accident to the authorities and divers were dispatched to the scene. The water level in the well was four meters high. The man was taken to Prince Sultan Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
