Rescuers save man from well

TAIF — Taif Civil Defense teams rescued a mentally ill person who fell into a 25-meter deep well north of Taif on Wednesday night. Rescue teams were able to pull the young man alive from the well, said Col. Khalid Al-Qahtani, spokesman for Taif Civil Defense Directorate, adding that the young man sustained several injuries to his back and right hand. Col. Al-Qahtani urged all landowners to comply with safety measures and keep wells covered.— Saudi Gazette
