Young man loses hand to firecracker

AL-TIWAL — A young man sustained severe damage in his right hand after a firecracker he was holding exploded while he was celebrating his brother's wedding. The man was rushed to King Fahd Hospital in Jazan where doctors amputated his right hand from the wrist down because it was irreparable. Jazan Civil Defense spokesman Maj. Gen. Yehya Al-Qahtani warned the general public against playing with firecrackers.
