Fire forces prison evacuation in Jazan Hussein Maha and Iftikhar Bahfain

JAZAN – The Prisons Administration in Jazan evacuated the inmates of prison ward after a fire caused by a short circuit. There were no casualties.
Maj. Yahya Al-Qahtani, spokesman for the Directorate of Civil Defense in Jazan region, said the command and control room received a report on the breakout of a fire in Ward No. 4 in Jazan Prison. Immediately,

Civil Defense units from Al-Balad, Al-Sinaia, Al-Shatea and Al-Mina rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire.
Al-Qahtani said the fire was caused by a short circuit.
Brig. Gen. Hadi Al-Suqoor, Assistant Director General of Jazan Prisons, said Jazan Prisons Administration sent a report on the fire to the Civil Defense. Prison wardens were able to put the fire out and evacuate all the prison inmates from the ward to a safe hall.
