AL-AREDAH – A group of children playing with matches caused a fire that burned down half of their villa in the Al-Aredah governorate, said Jazan Civil Defense. Spokesman Maj. Gen. Yehya Al-Qahtani said the children set fire at the bedroom and ran outside while their neighbors, who saw the smoke billowing from the window, cut off the circuit breaker and waited until firefighters arrived at the scene. No one was injured in the blaze, which destroyed the entire bedroom and could have spread all over the villa had the firefighters not responded quickly.
