AL-AHSA — The customs officers at Salwa border foiled an attempt to smuggle nine livestock outside the Kingdom. Abdulrahman Al-Muhanna, director general of Salwa Customs, said the sheep were found hidden in fodder sacks. The smuggler had put adhesive tape on the mouths of five sheep to stop them from bleating during inspection. In another incident, Al-Muhanna said the custom officials foiled another smuggle plan of three sheep and one three-week-old camel. — SG
