Nadiyah Al-Fawaz Okaz/Saudi Gazette ABHA — With only sand and water, Saudi national Abdulaziz Aseeri can make life-size creatures, houses, and cars. The 38-year-old sand artist demonstrated his art on Jazan beach to draw attention from citizens to his talent. Aseeri said that to draw on sand has been his hobby since childhood. However, it was only three years ago that he started sand sculpturing as an amateur, although he had obtained a certificate in 1992 from the UAE for drawing on sand. After searching on the Internet, Aseeri said, he found many youth who shared his passion for sand art. Such creativity needs a lot of patience, and he hopes that his artworks will be showcased in exhibits and or be part of a competition.
