A new hobby has brought together two young men. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi and Abdullah Al-Muttairi make statues out of sand on one of Jeddah's beaches. They say the hobby reminds them of their innocent childhood, when they used to play with the sand after rainfall. As children, they used to make houses and buildings from sand. Then they would demolish them and build other new shapes in their place. However, the present hobby of Ghamdi and Muttairi is to make sand statues of sea creatures, reptiles and birds on the beach.
