The Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, at the council's headquarters in Riyadh Tuesday, received a delegation from the Turkish-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, chaired by MP Khalil Ozcan. At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Al-Sheikh welcomed members of the delegation, delivering a briefing on the work mechanism of the council and its roles as per its regulations and specializations. He stressed the importance of continuous communication between the Shoura Council and Grand National Assembly and activating the roles of the two joint parliamentary committees. The Turkish delegates stressed the importance of the pivotal roles of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the international level, reiterating the significance of enhancing bilateral relations in all fields, mainly at the parliamentary level. Talks during the meeting went over several issues of joint interest in all fields, mainly those related to parliamentary ties between the Shoura Council and Grand National Assembly. Later, the Saudi-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shoura Council, headed by member of the council and chair of the committee Saleh Al-Khliwi, held a meeting with its counterpart at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye headed by MP Khalil Ozcan, in the presence of the members of the committee at the council. During the meeting, the two sides discussed several issues of mutual interest between the two countries, reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries. This is in addition to going over means to enhance bilateral action and cooperation at the level of parliamentary relations between the Shoura Council and Grand National Assembly, and activating the role of the two parliamentary friendship committees to support cooperation and joint action. The meeting also went over means to boost cooperation in several fields to push cooperation between the two countries to wider scopes. — SPA
