JAZAN — A pregnant woman died while her husband sustained severe fractures in his ribs and their daughter went into a coma following a tragic road accident here. The man was wanted by the police for smuggling undocumented workers into the Kingdom. He was trying to avoid police checkpoints by driving in the opposite direction on the highway when a heavy truck struck his vehicle head-on, instantly killing his wife. Also injured in the accident were the man's sister and a nephew, both of whom suffered pelvic, neck and hand fractures.
