RIYADH — Saudi Arabia recorded on Monday 392 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 350,984, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health. The death toll in the Kingdom rose to 5,559 after 19 more patients died from complications caused by the virus, the ministry said. The ministry also reported 402 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 337,788 with the recovery rate rising to 96.24 percent. Madinah had the highest number of daily infections on Monday with 59 reported cases followed by Riyadh with 54 and Makkah with 32. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom. According to the ministry, there were 7,637 active cases in the Kingdom, 787 of which were critical cases.
