JEDDAH — Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif chaired the 32nd annual meeting of emirs of various provinces at the ministry's headquarters in Jeddah. The meeting reviewed topics on the agenda aimed at enhancing security and stability, and achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
At the outset of the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud conveyed to the emirs the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. He drew attention to the directives of the King and the Crown Prince to maintain security and facilitate and make easier all matters pertaining to citizens, expatriates, and visitors throughout the Kingdom.
The emirs expressed their thanks and appreciation to King Salman and the Crown Prince for the distinguished services provided by the wise leadership to the guests of God during the holy month of Ramadan. They praised the efforts of all sectors in this regard, praying to God Almighty to perpetuate the security and glory of this country. They also presented a number of recommendations to be submitted to the King and the Crown Prince.
The meeting reviewed a number of reports and working papers aimed to enhance the capabilities of the regions' emirates in performing their duties, including supporting development opportunities, enhancing the capabilities of the non-profit sector, and actively participating in raising the quality of life within the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
During the meeting, the geospatial platform for the assets of the Ministry of Interior and the emirates of the regions was launched. It includes integrated spatial data on all the ministry's assets, including buildings, lands, and projects. This interactive service allows for real-time access to indicators and analyses to support effective planning, facilitate decision-making, achieve spending efficiency, and enhance integration between projects and relevant entities. This is part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to ensure digital empowerment, achieve the concept of a smart digital government across all its sectors, and gain economic returns and excellence in government performance.
