Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Three finals took place in WPCA Color Super League (CSL) T-20 Tournament here at WPCA Eskan Grounds recently. In the morning, Sadafco beat MFCC by 2 wickets in the WCSL T-20 final. MFCC batted first to get 154 for 9 in allotted 20 overs through Asif Shehzad making 28, Kashif 43, Aftab 21 and Waqas Butt 15. Saqib Sahi took 3 for 37 and Zia 2 for 26. In reply, Sadafco achieved the winning target of 157 for 8 in 17.5 overs. Atif Sain once again played a vital innings of 67 in 22 balls and Abdul Rehman made 21. Waqas Butt grabbed 3 for 20 and 2 wickets each went to Mehmood and Aslam. Sadafco won their 5th straight Final out of 6 appearances. In the afternoon, BBB crushed Abudawood Trading by 8 wickets in the WPCA CSL T-20 final. Batting first, Abudawood Trading posted 157 for 8 in allotted 20 overs through Ejaz Butt making 45, Hasanat Ahmed 26 and Mohsin 30. Sohail took 3 for 17 while Khawar Sohail had 2 wickets. BBB lost their openers in the first 8 balls and were tottering at 5 for 2 but then Amir Wahla hammered match-winning 89 in 53 ball studded with 2 sixes and 10 boundaries and Israr Kiyani stroked 49 in 44 balls with 3 fours and a six to get to 158 for 2 in 101 balls to win by 8 wickets with 19 balls remaining. In premier league, Zultec won by big 8 wickets against Arif Eleven (Hyderabad Sharks). Batting first, Hyderabad Sharks made 166 in 20 overs. Shehzad made 33 and Atif Sharma 22. Abuhuraira claimed 4 for 17 along with a hat trick in the first 4 balls of his 3rd over. Zultec reached 167 for 2 to record the win as Amer Sajjad blasted unbeaten 91 in 40 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes, Waqar Ul-Hasan hit 40 and Usman Gulab 21. Zultec won by 8 wickets A glittering prize distribution ceremony was held immediately after the finals at the ground. The ceremony comprising of trophies for winners and runner-up and performance award for best batsman, best bowler, best all-rounder, best wicket keepers, hat-trick and man of the final. Dr. Zia uddin welcomed sponsors, members of Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation (SACF) and guests. Waleed Mohsin (Nasma Airlines), Iqbal (also of Nasma Airlines), Sultan Sindhi Pupa, Syed Qasim Ali Naqvi, Mohammed Iftikhar Hussain, Sadiqul Islam and Mussarat Khalil distributed the prizes. In his brief address, Qasim Naqvi reviewed the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) activities and commended the efforts of executive committee of WPCA. He said all the 12 associations and 400 clubs are now registered under SACF. He said there are good opportunities for youngster to represent KSA in the international cricket, therefore they should concentrate on their fitness. Naqvi underlined SACF continuous support to WPCA..
