RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Deputy Defense Minster Prince Khalid Bin Salman received here on Thursday Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament, Sultan Al-Barakani, members of the parliament and advisers to the president of Yemen. The Yemeni delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom for the care and attention it attaches to Yemen and support for its legitimate government and the Yemeni people. The delegation also lauded the good initiatives Saudi Arabia has taken for Yemen, the most recent of which were the efforts led by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to accomplish the Riyadh Agreement and introduce the executive mechanism to accelerate its implementation. For his part, the deputy minister of defense expressed the Kingdom's appreciation for the positive role played by the Yemeni president, his government and the Southern Transitional Council. Prince Khalid also praised the constructive and productive role played by the speaker of the Yemeni parliament, members of the parliament, and advisers to the Yemeni president in supporting the efforts that led to the agreement on a mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement. He hoped that the commitment to what was agreed upon will be adhered to, stressing that their response was their realization of the national responsibility that we feel and value for them. The deputy defense minister also said: "The directives of the Crown Prince and his continuous follow-up stems from the keenness of the Kingdom's leadership on the brotherly Yemeni people and their government and their support in all fields."
