MAKKAH/MADINAH — Muslims on Sunday performed the blessed Eid Al-Fitr prayer at the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque amid the necessary precautionary and preventive measures which are being followed in other prayers in the Two Holy Mosques to prevent the spread of coronavirus. At Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah, Imam of the Mosque Sheikh Saleh Bin Humaid led the prayer, while the Imam of Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman Al-Baijan led the prayer in Madinah. During their Eid sermons, the Imams congratulated Muslims on the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, praying to Allah Almighty to accept their fasting, prayers, charity, and good deeds. "Rejoice in Eid, so your Eid is blessed and may God accept your obedience, smile and rejoice, Sheikh Saleh said in his speech. He called upon the faithful to make the most of the social networking sites to reach out to relatives, friends and people of interest as the holiday is a decent occasion to reconcile hearts, reconcile souls, wash the walls of hatred and envy and remove the causes of hostility.
