Muslims Kingdomwide perform Eid Al-Fitr prayer
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 07 - 07 - 2016

Muslims performed Eid Al-Fitr prayer on Wednesday morning in the Grand Mosque in Makkah and in different parts of the Kingdom in an atmosphere of safety, peace of mind, devotion and submission after Allah Almighty enabled them to complete fasting in the holy month of Ramadan , Saudi Press Agency said.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman performed Eid prayer along with huge numbers of worshipers in the Grand Mosque, which was full to the brim. Even the courtyards surrounding the Grand Mosque were full.
Prince Faisal Bin Turki Bin Abdullah, Prince Bandar Bin Muhammad Bin Abdulrahman, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah Province and adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, other princes and Muslim dignitaries from many Muslim countries also performed Eid prayer with the King.
The worshipers were led by Imam and Khateeb of the Grand Mosque Sheikh Dr. Saleh Bin Abdullah Bin Humaid.
In his Eid Al-Fitr sermon, Sheikh Bin Humaid said whatever deed a person does, he will either get Allah's reward for it or it will be a sin for him until the Day of Judgment. He warned people who follow Daesh (so-called IS) and kill innocent people that that they will bear their sins and the sins of those who follow suit until the Day of Judgment.
Sheikh Bin Humaid congratulated Muslims on the blessed Eid Al-Fitr. He prayed to Allah to accept their fasting, prayers and all good deeds.
Meanwhile in Madinah over two million worshipers performed Eid prayer in the Prophet's Mosque, foremost of whom was Prince Faisal Bin Salman, emir of Madinah Province. All the floors, passages and courtyards of the Prophet's Mosque were full of worshipers who had come to the mosque quite early.
The Eid prayer was led by Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Abdulbari Al-Thubaiti, who thanked Allah Almighty for enabling Muslims to complete fasting in the holy month and perform prayers with devotion and peace of mind.
Sheikh Al-Thubaiti said Muslims are shocked, confused and dumbstruck by the incidents they have seen and heard in the City of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He said what took place in Madinah and other painful incidents elsewhere are due to an amassing of the means of death and destruction. He stressed that these are ugly and heinous crimes and committing of evil by a group "that has dropped glorifying Allah Almighty from its dictionary".
They did not respect the sanctity of the Prophet's Mosque that was full of fasting Muslims and worshipers. He asked how far they had no respect for Allah's religion when they practiced killing of fasting Muslims performing their prayers during a great month and in a great land (the courtyard of the Prophet's Mosque). What religion are they following and what creed are they believing in?
Sheikh Al-Thubaiti prayed that Allah Almighty may accept the dead security men as martyrs. It is an honor for them because whoever is killed while he was performing his prayer (salah) will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment while he is praying. Whoever is killed while he was fasting will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment in a state of fasting.
He said terrorism in our era is a global issue. It is the talk of the hour.
It is not related to any religion or nation (Ummah), but it is a Satanic plant that is sowed in the minds of those who are misguided. Terrorism is blind, its sparks have spread and due to its danger there are loud voices calling for uprooting and countering it.
He confirmed that this country is a center of radiance for good in the world and it will remain so, God willing. The deeds of the saboteurs will turn against them until they are defeated.
He called on Muslims to uncover their dens and expose their falsehood. Al-Thubaiti warned that whoever provides them with shelter and justifies their deeds is their accomplice in killing innocent people.
