AL KHOBAR — Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Center for Science and Technology (Scitech), started a festival of science and technology Saturday. The five-day festival is being held on the occasion of the students' mid-semester break. “Scitech” Director General Dr. Hassan Al Ahmadi said that the festival aims to raise awareness on the importance of human energy investment in Saudi society in the field of innovation, science and technology. He said: “The Saudi Ministry of Defense will be participating in the festival along with the Saudi Hawks team which includes highly skilled pilots who will show off their aerobatic skills with their planes in air. The aim is to highlight the capability and efficiency of the Royal Saudi Air Force.” The festival will host several lectures from speakers like Dr. Zaghloul Al Naggar among others, and scientific experiments by Abdullah Casper. “Scitech through its annual festival of Science and Technology seeks to contribute in supporting the Kingdom's drive to turn itself into a knowledge-based society within ten years,” said Al Ahmadi.
